Farming[ | ]
Picking up a few basic ingredients is possible whilst roaming the world of Ignus; as the game progresses you need much larger quantities of the basic growable materials and farming becomes an essential undertaking. In order to farm you will need:
Farm Plots[ | ]
8 | Mulch | |
20 | Enchated Stone | |
20 | Flawless Gem |
Farm Plots and Sprinklers both take up a quarter of a block.
Sprinkler[ | ]
30 | Flawless Rune Gem | |
30 | Enchanted Stone |
The Sprinkler will function to provide water as long as it is within range of a powered Mana Generator.
A Sprinkler can be surrounded by up to 8 Farm Plots placed in a square around the Sprinkler. You can also place an additional 9 Farm Plots directly above or beneath the sprinkler.

Mulch | Hobart's Growth Solution

4 | Yellow Pine | 22 | Rune Crystal
3 | Mushrooms | 6 | Mushrooms
1 | Bones | 1 | Faery Dust | ||

There are two forms of Fertilizer, Mulch and Hobart’s Growth Solution.
Mulch is applied directly to the Farm Plot.
Hobart’s Growth Solution is applied to the Sprinkler and the Sprinkler will then spread Fertilizer out to all the Farm Plots in its reach (as long as the Sprinkler is powered by a Mana Generator). The color of the liquid the Sprinkler is spraying will clearly change if you have applied it successfully and the countdown timer will give an indication of how much Fertilizer is left in the Sprinkler. Hobart's Growth Solution gives 2700 fertilizer, So a farm consisting of 8 plots will only require 1 bottle to reach full growth. Any more than that will be wasted.

The numbers listed above are actual examples of how many seeds I received after deconstructing the flowers, and then converting them with workbench. This should help you get an idea of how many plants you will want to gather to fill your farm plot.

Seeds can be found in the wild and from random loot drops, but mostly they have to be made by putting plants in the Workbench or Deconstructor and picking up the seeds that are produced. You need a reasonable number of plants (at least eight, but a lot more if you can get them) to make this process worthwhile. Once your farm is up and running, putting 80 plants in the Deconstructor works well.
Each Farm Plot can hold 6 seeds of any description. As long as the Farm Plot is watered and fertilized, plants take between 1 and 4 hours to grow depending on what you are growing. The plants that can be found in Ignus take an hour, while seeds created by workbenches takes 4 hours.
Farming advice[ | ]
- Anyone, even on a PVE server, can pick your crops, so unless you are playing single-player, you should always grow crops in a totally enclosed space (remembering that players can fly so you need a roof too).
- Crops, even watered and fertilized will only live for a short while after growth, so don’t plant crops and then come back in a few days, you’ll just have dead plants.
- Your Sprinkler will continue spraying Fertilizer, even if the surrounding Farm Plots are totally fertilized, so don’t put too much Hobart’s Growth Solution in at one time because you’ll be wasting it.
